1. What is a cookie
A cookie is a small file placed on your device while browsing. It allows the site to remember certain information between your visits (for example, your login session or your display preference).
2. Essential cookies
Elofoot only uses necessary technical cookies: authentication (HttpOnly secure session cookie), CSRF attack prevention, and interface preferences (theme, language). Under the ePrivacy directive and CNIL deliberation no. 2020-091, these cookies do not require your prior consent because they are strictly necessary to provide the service.
2 bis. Roulette anti-abuse cookie
The roulette uses the secure HttpOnly technical cookie “ef_roulette_device”, retained for no more than one year. It contains a random pseudonymous identifier and is used only to enforce one draw per device every 24 hours and prevent opportunistic account creation. It is strictly necessary to the integrity of the feature, is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking and therefore does not require prior consent. Blocking or deleting it may make the roulette unavailable pending verification.
3. Analytics cookies
To date, no third-party audience-measurement cookie is set. If we introduce a statistics tool, it will be privacy-friendly (no individual identification, compliant with the CNIL's consent-exempt configuration) or activated only after your explicit consent via a dedicated banner.
4. Advertising cookies
Elofoot does not set any advertising cookies and does not share any data with advertising networks or data brokers. Our business model relies exclusively on paid Starter, Pro and Elite subscriptions.
5. Managing your cookies
You can delete or block cookies at any time from your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Note: blocking essential cookies may make some Elofoot features unusable, in particular logging in to your account.
