Clean sheet
A clean sheet is a match in which a team concedes no goals. It's a key marker of defensive solidity: a clean sheet is credited to the team (and often the goalkeeper) that finishes without conceding, regardless of how many goals it scores itself.
A team's clean-sheet rate tells you about its ability to shut games down — useful for goal-related markets (BTTS, Under) and to estimate a defensive favourite's win probability.
A prediction AI cross-references these defensive trends with the opponent's attack to estimate whether a goal can stay out.

A team winning 1-0 keeps a clean sheet; a 2-1 is not one.
