Head-to-head (H2H)
H2H (head-to-head) is the history of matches between the same two teams: who won, the scores, recurring patterns. It helps spot matchup dynamics that overall stats hide — a team that consistently does well against another.
H2H is a supporting signal: it complements form and xG without replacing them. A long favourable run can reveal a style that troubles the opponent, but you must weight it by how old the matches are and squad changes.
A good prediction uses H2H as one factor among many, never as the sole argument.
