Double chance
Double chance covers two of the three 1X2 outcomes in a single bet: 1X (home or draw), X2 (away or draw) or 12 (either, no draw). You win if either covered outcome happens — so more often, but at a lower price.
It's a safer market than a straight 1X2: you trade a lower price for a higher chance of winning. Useful to secure a solid favourite or cover a home underdog without betting solely on the win.
Its probability follows directly from 1X2: double chance 1X equals the probability of 1 plus that of X.
Example
If 1 = 52% and X = 26%, double chance 1X is worth 78%.
